What happens when I cancel my LifeLine service?

What happens when you get a job or move out of public housing or become ineligible for a free government cell phone for one reason or another?

When you cancel your LifeLine service because you’re no longer eligible or you’re cancelled by the service provider for some other reason, you will probably be able to keep your account and become a regular customer of that provider.

At that point you’ll be able to purchase phone cards and other plans that will allow you to add extra minutes and extend your service.

Details vary, but you can learn more by contacting one of the outstanding free government cell phone providers.
